Amy Rose - Ballet, Pointe
Amy Rose trained, on scholarship, at the America Ballet Theater School, The Lyric Opera of Chicago and the Ruth Page Foundation School of Dance. Amy joined American Ballet Theatre at age 16 and performed as a soloist from 1979-1992. After leaving ABT, Amy joined Pacific Northwest Ballet. As a freelance dancer she guested with the Lyric Opera of Chicago, Northwest Ballet and the Civic Ballet of Chicago. Amy is an ABT Certified Teacher, who has successfully completed the ABT Teacher Training Intensive in Primary through Level 7 of ABT National Training Curriculum.
Rio Guillaume - Ballet, Pointe, Conditioning, Modern
Rio Tasia Guillaume received her early dance education on scholarship at the Ruth Page Foundation, where she danced with the Civic Ballet of Chicago under Larry Long. While studying at Point Park University, Rio performed with the Pittsburgh Playhouse Dance Company and the Pillow Project. In New York City, Rio joined Kazuko Hirabayashi Dance Theatre, fulfilling soloist and company manager roles; and spent nearly a decade at American Youth Dance Theater, where she coached students into earning acceptance from the School of American Ballet and LaGuardia High School for the Performing Arts, among others. Outside the dance world, Rio regularly travels to Haiti and holds a passion for their culture, having married a native and become fluent in Haitian Creole. Rio is an ABT® Fellow Teacher in Levels Primary-Five, having successfully presented her students to the ABT® Artistic Board of Examiners for eight consecutive years, and graduated magna cum laude with a B.A. in Dance and minor in Business Management from Point Park University.
Melanie Arango is a versatile performer who specializes in commercial and concert dance. She trained under many at Dance Academy of Libertyville and was captain of the Mundelein Varsity Dance Team, where she is now the Varsity coach. Her stage credits include Orange Colored Sky by Kent Boyd and This is Sick by Kevin Maher at Murphy Recital Hall as well as Oh, What a World by Cherice Barton, Aphrodite Rising by John Todd and Passengers by Rebecca Lemme at the Strub Theatre. Melanie has trained extensively at Loyola Marymount University where she earned her BFA in Dance with a minor in Theatre. Melanie was a member of the IB Modern Hip Hop Crew.

Melanie Arango - Dance Team, Hip Hop, Acro, Contemporary
Aimee Russon - Contemporary, Tap, Jazz, Modern
Aimee began her dance training in Cary, IL and continued her training at the Universty of Utah in Salt Lake City, receiving a BFA in modern dance. While attending the University of Utah she had the opportunity to perform works by Sidra Bell, Pamela Geber Handman, and works set by the Martha Graham dance company. While in Chicago, Aimee has participated in the numerous summer intensives and dance instructor trainings with CNADM and Bellamoxi. Aimee has also had the pleasure of performing with the Modern Marvels dance company. With an immense passion for teaching, Aimee continues to teach ballet, modern, jazz, contemporary, tap and creative movement to students around the Chicagoland area.
Laura Moschel - Dance Team, Acro, Contemporary
Laura choreographs and teaches around the Chicagoland area. Laura danced professionally with the Chicago-based company, Piel Morena Contemporary Dance, from 2013-2016 and danced in their international tour at the end of 2015. She has won many awards at professional choreography competitions, regional and national dance studio competitions, and has been honored with her work being accepted to the Youth American Grand Prix International Finals in New York City in 2017 and 2019. Laura coaches the Stevenson High School Varsity Dance Team, which has placed top 3 in the Illinois 3A State Championship for the past 4 years
Andi Bissen - Tap, Jazz, Contemporary
Andi was born and Raised in Racine, Wisconsin. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance and English. She started dancing at five years old, then joined the competition team two years later. In 2003, she became a member of the team at Dance Arts Center in Mount Pleasant, WI. As a member of the team, she trained from professional teachers and choreographers from the Milwaukee Ballet, Joffrey Ballet Chicago, Hubbard Street of Chicago, Troy University, and many more. From the time she began at Dance Arts Center and to this day, she has gone to numerous competitions, workshops, and intensives for top training and to work towards being a well-rounded dancer and choreographer. She has traveled all over the country from Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Nashville, Memphis, New York, Orlando, and to Chicago, earning national recognition and professional training. In her travels, she has attended and been invited to take classes from the likes of tap masters such as Gregg Russell, Angela Carter, Ryan Lohoff, Anthony Russo, Chris Erk, Mark Yonally, Ja’bowen Dixon, Kendra Jorstad, Dani Borak, Sarah Savelli, Lane Alexander, Ray Hesselink, Maud Arnold, Chloe Arnold, and Sara Reich. She has performed in multiple pieces as a student at the University of Milwaukee, including working with the Chair of the Dance Department, Simone Ferro, as well as the Artistic Director of Danceworks Milwaukee, Dani Kuepper. She has also performed multiple times in Chicago’s “Carnival Choreographer’s Ball” and Chicago’s “World of Dance.” She was a guest artist in Chicago Tap Theatre’s critically acclaimed tap story show “Time Steps”. She was a dancer featured in Tap into the Network’s tap dance video “No Money - Galantis (LA Tap Experience)”. In the Spring of 2015, Andi became a member of the only current all female tap dance performance company in Chicago, JorsTAP. Andi finds a thrill in embracing the importance of tap within the art of dance, and hopes to continue spreading her love and passion for it.
Emily Broeker - Tap
Emily grew up in Minneapolis, MN where she trained in a variety of dance styles at BallareTeatro, Saint Paul City Ballet, and Zenon Dance School. She obtained her B.A. in dance with distinction from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. She has performed professionally in Minnesota for ten years, working with companies such as Buckets and Tap Shoes, Flying Foot Forum, Eclectic Edge Ensemble, and Keane Sense Of Rhythm. She has also performed in work by Kenna Cottman, Karla Grotting, Erinn Liebhard, and Kaleena Miller. Emily continues her training by attending dance intensives for young professionals such as Nicholas Young’s Institute for the Rhythmic Arts in Chicago, IL. Passionate about dance instruction, Emily has been teaching dance at studios around the Twin Cities for seven years. In order to expand her knowledge of dance pedagogy, she regularly attends professional development trainings for dance instructors. She recently moved to Chicago to pursue new dance opportunities, and she is thrilled to be working with Chicago Tap Theatre for their upcoming season!
